Mendoza: ready to welcome the windsurfing pros

The Top Ten racers in the current Formula Windsurfing World Ranking have confirmed their entries to the 2010 World Championships.

The event which takes place from 21st to 28th March is hosted by the Federacion Argentina de Windsurf (FAW) on Lake Potrerillos, near Mendoza City, Argentina.

This is a stunning location with the beautiful Andes mountains as a back drop. The water is clear and fresh - you can drink straight from the lake!

In the men's division 4 previous and current world champions are already there preparing and training - Wojtek Brzozowski, Poland (2008 champion/2009 vice champion) and Steve Allen, Australia (2009 champion) will be challenged by Micah Buzianis, USA, and Antoine Albeau, France, who are both returning to formula after a year's absence.

In the women's fleet current champion Marta Hlavaty, Poland, will be fighting to hold off the challenge of younger, but talented, racers such as Morane Demont, France.
