Windsurfing Week: this is a very funny sport, indeed

The World Windsurfing Week is an international initiative that will run between 1st-9th May.

The idea is to bring as much people on board as possible during one week, the World Windsurfing Week andto motivate new windsurfers to come on board!

Windsurfing is not only a specific kind of sport but it also represents a certain lifestyle. Essential characteristics of the surfer lifestyle are the aspects of freedom and independence.

When windsurfing came up the regular kind of sport was practised in defined regulations and more or less strictly organised surroundings. Windsurfing the so called "mother of fun sports" offered for the first time a platform for people who preferred less restrictions. A complete new kind of sports culture was born.

Windsurfing is a philosophy of life

It hooks you to more wind, more water, more planing, more freedom! To windsurf means to experience nature, to travel, to meet new people, to go wild, or to just plane on the water with pleasure. Windsurfing addicts to living large!

These are the reasons why windsurfers from all over the globe get bright-eyed if only the first breeze blows through the trees behind the house. And you are a part of this unique community of windsurfers in all the world.
