Hawks Nest: a rare specie populates the area

The Australian windsurfers are getting ready for the 2011 Downunder Pro Formula Windsurfing Championships.

The event will be held at Jimmy’s Beach, Hawks Nest, from 29th January to 5th February and Oceanic & Australian Formula Windsurfing Championships, one of the most relevant highlights of the Australian racing windsurfing season.

Formula Windsurfing is growing rapidly in Australia, following the successful 2005 FW World Championships, in Melbourne.

Also, the local weather conditions are attractive for sailors. Steady and consistent gradient and thermical winds produce fantastic windy hours in Hawks Nest.

The place is absolutely picturesque and it is only two hour’s drive from Sydney. All international windsurfers are welcome.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
