2011 NeilPryde Baltic Cup: Martin rules

Martin Ervin has conquered the 2011 NeilPryde Baltic Cup, in the city of Liepja, Latvia. More than 80 Formula windsurfers competed in a very well organized sailing event.

The strong fleet had sailors from 11 different countries. There were two races completed on the first day (Friday), with 9 to 13 knots of wind, and two more on the second day (Saturday) with shifty offshore winds, which made it very tricky, ranging from 7 to 15 knots.

On the last day (Sunday) the wind backed off and everyone had a beautiful lazy sunny beach day to relax. Martin Ervin (EST 202) managed to stay very consistent and take the event title.

In second was Filip Korczycki (POL 555) followed by Wilhelm Schurmann (BRA 999) in third. Also performing very well was Nicolus Warenburg (FRA 531) who took two bullets in a row, on the second day. John Kaju (EST 24) and Paulo dos Reis (BRA 3333) took a bullet on the first day.

2011 NeilPryde Baltic Cup:

1st - Martin Ervin
2nd - Filip Korczycki
3rd - Wilhelm Schurmann
