The Kornum family: golden sailors

One hundred windsurfers from 16 nations sailed for gold at the 2011 Youth/Master Formula Windsurfing World Championships, held in Skive, Denmark. There were a total of 12 races in conditions varying from 10 to 32 knots of wind.

Torben and Sebastian Kornum, father and son, were crowned winners of the Youth and Grand Masters divisions. Four windsurfing classes took part in the contest.

Andrea Cucchi, from Italia, took the Masters competition. The Junior fleet was dominated by NeilPryde sailors.Norwegian Sivert Hovda was first, second was Brazilian Leonardo Venturini and Danish Mathias Eithz got third.

On the final day, the organizers set up a show race with all classes in one light wind start. Sebastian Kornum used the 2012 JP Formula Power model and won the race with big margin.
