Edvan de Souza

Roberto Ricci Designs have just announced the latest addition to their international windsurfing team. Joining the line up for the 2009 season is Brazilian freestyler, Edvan De Souza. The 21-year.old moves to RRD from his previous board sponsor, Mistral.

Hailing for the much-hallowed windsurfing Mecca of Jericoacoara, De Souza will be representing RRD on the PWA’s freestyle circuit. Following his World Tour debut in 2008, RRD will no doubt be calling on De Souza to bolster their PWA freestyle rankings; arguably the brand’s least represented discipline.

Additionally, and not widely publicized, De Souza is also a talented wave sailor, and one to look out for in the future if he ever decides to pursue this aspect of his windsurfing.

On joining RRD, the Italian brand have commented:

“The RRD Family welcomes Edvan Souza, a young freestyle wizard from Jericoacoara (Brazil) that is already shooting his infinite string of tricks on stylish RRD boards. Edvan plans to attend all the PWA freestyle events of the income 2009 season. Welcome Edvan!”

Edvan De Souza is sponsored by RRD boards and Simmer Style sails.
