Azores Islands: windsurfing heaven in the Atlantic Ocean

The 2013 European Formula Windsurfing Festival is set to Terceira, in the Azores Islands, from 29th April to 5th May.

The beautiful island of Terceira will host an windsurfing event which will include a round of the 2013 Formula Windsurfing European Cup and the Junior, Youth and Masters European Championship.

The Archipelago of the Azores is composed of nine volcanic islands situated in the Atlantic Ocean, and is located about 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) west of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

The 2013 European Formula Windsurfing Festival expects winds blowing between 15 and 25 knots, air temperature of 20-25°C and water temperatures of 20°C.

The event is organized by the Clube Naval da Praia da Vitória, in cooperation with the Azores Government and Portuguese Windsurfing Association.

Brad Spencer, Annissa Flynn, and Daniel Tarapchak have taken out the 2018 World Flowboarding Championships, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
