15th Vietnam Fun Cup: smile, everyone

Albert Pijoan Monne has won the 15th edition of the Vietnam Fun Cup took, held in Mui Ne.

The windsurfing event was organized by Jibe's Beach Club and attracted 35 windsurfers from all over the world.

In the Men's division, the Spanish Starboard rider managed to take the trophy home. Lucy Odillo Maher, from Australia, stole the Women's category.

"I didn't expect to win but I was really happy. So long without winning nothing and, in the same week, I won both windsurfing events in town," says Albert Monne, who also claimed the wave contest.

The Vietnam Fun Cup is a warm-up competition for the 2016 Asia Beach Games, to be run in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Mui Ne Beach is a popular windsurfing and kiteboarding tropical beach offering strong sea breezes and warm average temperatures.
