Wales: crazy wave windsurfing allowed here

The sails are ready. The waves are pumping. The winds send their gusts. The 2012 British Wavesailing Tour is ready to kick off in Wales.

Rhosneigr will once again host the first round of the season and Dave Buckland and his team are looking forward to welcoming you to the best wave sailing spot on the west coast of Wales.

"We had an excellent tour last year with great conditions at all the events, and I'm sure this one is going to deliver again for 2012", says Buckland.

Funsport have just extended their shop in good time to provide an even better base camp for BWA Wales 2012. They have hosted the event for many years now and are totally committed to supporting the tour, as well as some of the best known British Riders like Ben Proffit and Phil Horrocks.

"It's great to compete here where me and Phil have basically grown up wave sailing, and makes for an awesome start to the tour! Phil always battles hard on home turf so it should be a tough comp just like last year, fingers crossed", reveals Proffit.

The 2012 BWA Wave Tour will continue in the British islands with competitions set to Brandon Bay, Tiree and Gwithian. The 2012 British Wavesailing Tour calendar goes as follows:

Wales, Rhosneigr: Friday 11th to Sunday 13th May
Ireland, Brandon Bay: Monday 14th to Friday 18th May
Scotland, Tiree: Saturday 13th to Friday 19th October
England, Gwithian: Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October
