Corpus Christi: windy indeed

A bronze sculpture will be offered to the city of Corpus Christi, USA, honouring windsurfers and all wind sports enthusiasts. Dusty Durrill decided to donate the new artwork to grace the Cole Park waterfront.

The 16-foot piece of public art was designed by sculptor H.W. Tatum and will be named "Wind Dancer" and promises to reshape the city's landscape.

This ode to water and wind reflects the spirit of the Sparkling City and has already been approved by City Council members. The "Wind Dancer" prototype will be built in less than two year and will be erected between Oleander Avenue and Amistad Street.

Other public art pieces donated by Durrill include a 40-foot lighthouse that is the focal point at Del Mar College East Campus.
