Cyril Moussilmani captures the Défi Inter-Iles 2011

Cyril Moussilmani has conquered the Défi Inter-Iles 2011, in the South of Corsica. The 15th annual long distance windsurfing race links Corsica and Sardignia.

After two days without wind, all sailors got green light to departure from Piantarella, with 12-15 knot winds. The crossing between the islands was made with a fantastic weather.

"It was a good moment with all the other windsurfers and a very nice organization that cares about the sport. I didn't show up in a long distance for one and a half years, but the nice spirit of this contest gave me some wings", said Moussilmani.

The Défi Inter-Iles is a 11-mile event that attracts interest from hundreds of windsurfing fans from across the globe.

In 2011, Zacharie Bretel was a standout in the Junior category. Nathalie Boulouard won the Women's division. Christophe Gavene and Jean-Marc Peyronnet won in the Masters.
