Fabian Weber: German trickster

Fabian Weber is the new 2011 German Freestyle Windsurfing champion. The rider from Munich was crowned during the Rollei Bullet HD Freestyle DM, in Stein, Laboe.

Weber enjoyed ideal windsurfing conditions and was able dominate both the single and double eliminations. Nevertheless, all competitors had to wait for the premium conditions in order to get back to the water.

The green light only came when the first autumn storm decided to show off. Seventeen freestyle windsurfers traveled from all over Germany to fight for the national titles, but it was Fabian who showed the best repertoire of tricks.

In a thrilling final against Mathias Genkel, Weber took the gold spot. Third position went to Malte Hecht, from Kiel, while Tilo Eber and Tobias Schwarz had to settle with fourth and fifth places.

In the Junior division, Felix Thomsen and Tobias Schwarz won the Under 17 and Under 20 categories. With the conclusion of the inaugural Rollei Bullet HD Freestyle DM, the Freestyle season is over in Germany. After the winter break, all competitors will return with renewed trick collections.
