Cheng Fai and Ma Ching have claimed the 2014 RS:One World Championship in Trikora Beach, Bintan island, Indonesia.

The largest fleet of RS:One windsurfers of all time competed for world titles in medium breeze of 15 knots and sunny skies. The last day of competition had three regatta races.

In the first one, Indonesian sailor Suartana Komang surprised everyone by finishing first, ahead of Cheng Kwok Fai and Geylord Coveta. The second race didn't bring radical surprises, with podium contenders controlling each other.

In the third and final race of the day, and in an increasing breeze, Geylord Coveta thought he had done the job by finishing second, but what he didn't know was that he had crossed early the starting line under the black flag.

On the Women's side, Ma Kwan Ching allowed Syadine Arethusa, from Indonesia, to cross the finish line in the first place and take the final podium position from her team mate Rio Horirah.

In the end, the Hong Kong Team showed an impressive consistency and maturity in the 2014 RS:One Trikora Beach World Championship, and claimed both Men and Women world titles.
