Nicolas Warembourg: FW man in France

After two well fought steps, Nicolas Warembourg (NeilPryde / JP Australia) won the Formula Windsurfing Championship of France 2010.

"I am very happy with first place because there was a big battle with Damien Le Guen (NeilPryde / JP Australia), Aurélien Metayer, Antoine Questel and a few others. Eight races took place at Dunkirk and three in Brest, in all wind and sea conditions - heavy swell in Dunkirk with 20 knots of wind, no wind 8-12 knots and flat water at Lake Brest. It was very varied and tactical.

I have wanted this title for a while. This year I came back with huge motivation on the national circuit. I was made Vice Champion of France in 2006 and since then really wanted the title for me and the team.

The race was really intense I thank my sponsors (NeilPryde, JP Australia, Okespor, Ultramarina and Suunto) and also my club Olympique Grande Synthe, the Team Funboard, my coach Stephen Krause, with whom I have worked for seven years now and my training partners who do a lot for my performance", Warembourg said.
