Antoine Albeau and Sarah-Quita Offringa have raced to victory in the 2017 Hvide Sande PWA World Cup, held in Denmark.

The French cannon continued his winning streak on the PWA Slalom World Tour, and with two events to go, he holds a small, yet manageable lead over Matteo Iachino.

Four consecutive bullets were enough for Albeau to celebrate his third back-to-back event year this season. Iachino won the last race but had to settle for runner-up.

Sara-Quita Offringa won't forget her last day of competition under the Danish winds. The windsurfer from Aruba fought a close battle with Delphine Cousin Questel, with several intense turns and twists.

In the semifinal race, Offringa and other sailors crossed the finish line in the wrong direction which meant they were disqualified.

As a result, if Cousin won the final race, the world title decision would be sent to New Caledonia. However, another mistake in the opening buoy sent the French into the water, and she was only able to finish fifth.

"I still can not believe the way things played out today. The last time I missed a buoy was seven years ago. I still don't understand how I managed to do that again, in the most crucial race of this event," revealed Offringa.

"The title and the event win was in my own hands, and I had blown it doing something I've vouched never to do again. I don't know how else to put it, but finally, I got really lucky winning the event when Delphine didn't win the final."

Sarah-Quita Offringa won her 14th PWA World Tour title.
