Kona Europeans: Audierne is waiting for the fleet

Due to collisions with other major events, such as the Open Swedish Championships this year, Kona Windsurfing Association decided to move the Europeans from Balaton, Hungary to Audierne on the sunny French Atlantic coast.

The organizers will be the very experienced Centre Nautique Cap -Sizun, located some 70 km south of Brest. Audierne is a harbor resort found on the Cap Sizun, on the western end of the peninsula of southern Finistere.

The town is a popular harbor and leisure resort thanks to the easy access it provides to beaches and the impressive coastal scenery of western Finistere.

Within Audierne the centre of activity is around the estuary, the harbor and the sea front, lined with impressive 17th-18th century buildings. The main port and centre of the town are located at the mouth of the River Goyen.

A limited amount of charter boards are available, so early bookings are recommended. August is a holiday season in Central Europe, so book your accommodation in time.
