Belgian windsurfing wizard Steven Van Broeckhoven has claimed the EFPT Lanzarote, in Costa Teguise, Canary Islands.

The second stop on the European Freestyle Pro Tour (EFPT) had powerful winds and exciting swell. Adrien Bosson won a single elimination, and Van Broeckhoven took out a double elimination.

The 2011 PWA Freestyle world champion landed a shaka flaka, pasko, shove-it spock 540 and air-bob counting on the way out and a double culo, air funnell 360, double burner and planing culo scoring on the way in. The judges were unanimous in their winning decision - 5:0 on the Belgian's favor.

Steven and Adrien were forced to sail a super final and, once again, Van Broeckhoven beat Bosson to claim the event.

"It's been a while we've had these conditions. I really liked it. I am stoked. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous, but this feels good. This was the event with the highest level I ever competed in! Everyone was pushing it hard!" expressed Steven Van Broeckhoven.

Jacopo Testa ended up finishing third, and Yentel Caers managed to close the podium in fourth. The next event on the EFPT schedule is the Martini EFPT Croatia.
