John Palmer: pain for a cause

Windsurfers John Palmer (Burley-in-Wharfedale) and Sam Ross have successfully completed 50 flat water forward loops and front flips at Dahab, Egypt.

The goal was to raise more £500 each for Cancer Research. In the end, they achieved a total of £1,200.

Palmer and Ross pulled the tricks in swimming trunks, adding extra pain to their backs. When the 25-loop mid-goal was completed, the windsurfers started throwing up and asked for a break.

The final objective was completed a few hours later. John Palmer and Sam Ross were happy and got a two-day pain in the back.

Windsurfing 4 Cancer Research’s annual Sunrise to Sunset event thanked these two brave windsurfers. uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website. Learn more on our About section.
