3D Windsurfing: review your performances from any angle

The very best of 3D technology is entering windsurfing.

Races of the 2010 RS:X Youth World Championship are being recorded in realistic animation by Icarus - Olympic Sailing Media, a Greek tech company.

How it works? Well, the windsurfers are carrying GPS units, which are fed into the latest 3D realistic animation. After each race, sailors are able to review and correct their decision for future competitions.

The GPS units (7x4x3cm) record each boat's position and transform it into good looking replays. The software analyzes distances, rankings and even real wind direction.
