WindTech's adjustable tail rocker: incredible releases, and loose drive

WindTech has announced the creation of an adjustable tail rocker for windsurfing boards.

The company, founded by Neil Scheltema in the 1980s, released a video showing a few close-ups of the new system.

The concept of a tunable tail rocker is not new. Mistral was one of the first windsurfing manufacturers to develop and market an interchangeable flex tail.

Nearly four decades ago, they bought the concept patented by Mike Tinkler and added it to their "Challenge Flex" windsurf boards.

However, with Scheltema's shaping knowledge and experience, the new model promises fast rockers, incredible releases, and loose drive.

Let's not forget that the shaper worked for many brands, including Mistral.

The adjustable tail rocker by Neil Scheltema will be available in wave and slalom windsurf boards.

  • It's official. The World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSRC) ratified two new outstanding accomplishments in windsurfing and kiteboarding.
  • Dutch environmental activist and windsurfer Merijn Tinga, also known as the "Plastic Soup Surfer," has made an audacious journey from Oslo to London, braving the North Sea's currents and winds, to call attention to the pervasive problem of plastic pollution.
  • Imagine gliding across a frozen lake, your sail catching the wind, and skis slicing through the ice and snow. Meet the sport that blends the thrill of windsurfing with the crisp, cold beauty of winter landscapes.
