A kitesurfer has been rescued by the British authorities. The wind rider was about 200 meters off the long sandy beach of Fraisthorpe, in the United Kingdom.
A RAF helicopter, an inshore lifeboat and the coastguard search were called to help the kitesurfer. Apparently, he became entangled in his kite and lines and was drifting without control.
First, the Bridlington inshore lifeboat brought the man to the shore. Soon after the RAF Sea King was able to retrieve the kite board back to the owner.
Fortunately, the kitesurfer was not injured. This is not the first time this type of situation occurs. Please remember: do not go kitesurfing alone and always respect the safety procedures for the sport. To know more about kite rules.
