Bodyboarding: a well-respected sport in Australia

The inaugural Wahu Australian Bodyboard Titles will be held for the first time during the Australian Surf Festival.

The event will run at Coffs Harbour, home to a number of great beach break options that work in a variety of wind and swell conditions.

The main base for the event will be Park Beach, which is located north east of the Coffs Harbour CBD.

The event is fully mobile in the Coffs Harbour region with numerous beach break options which include Park Beach, Macauley's Beach, Diggers Beach, Jetty Beach, Gallows, Arrawarra Beach, Mulloway Beach, Woolgoolga Beach, Emerald Beach and Sapphire Beach.

"The best bodyboarders in Australia will be competing for the right to represent Australia at the ISA World Titles and to be crowned Australian champion, this will ensure a high performance level from all competitors," explains contest director Glen Elliott.

Bodyboard competitions will be held in ten divisions. The Australian Surf Festival will also crown champions in shortboard, single fin, longboard, and logger categories.
