Day three conditions were better than yesterday with good waves (6-8 ft) and no wind on Estaleirinhos Beach. The 3rd and 4th round of males were completed and the girls will compete only on Saturday.

Mike Stewart was one of the best riders today and won his two heats with good performances. The Hawaian said that he is impressed with the good waves in Brazil.

"It 's good to see this kind of waves here in Brazil. I'm happy to win this heats but I know that i can be better. Tomorrow I hope that i can be better than today", said the 9 times world champion.

"Sizable and challenging conditions with some great performances from the local's" was Mike's call on the waves and opposition. The Brazilians had good performances also. Roberto Bruno got another perfect ten after a huge air in one of the biggest waves of this friday.

Tomorrow the first call will happen at 9:30 (local time) and the second round of females. After this the organizers are predict the quarter finals of males and females with the finals happening on Sunday.
