272 bodyboarders in Figueira da Foz: that's what we call crowded line-up

Bodyboarding has entered the Guinness World Records. In Praia do Cabedelo, Figueira da Foz, Portugal, up to 272 bodyboarders have gathered in the water to break the previous achievement: 250 riders, at the same time, out in the line-up.

The enthusiasm put by the Portuguese bodyboarders was enough by a comfortable margin to setup a new record. If there were waves to be ridden, it would surely be hard to catch a wave. Watch the record being broken.

The event was held during the Figueira Junior Wave Fest 2011 and The Custom X Pro Junior 2011, the biggest bodyboarding contest for Under 20 riders.

The Guinness World Record will certainly be registered in the famous book, as all rules and procedures were respected by the organization.

Figueira da Foz is known for delivering some of the biggest waves available in Europe. Praia do Cabedelo is often one of the chosen venues for international big wave bodyboarding competitions.

The The Custom X Pro Junior 2011 was conquered by the Portuguese bodyboarder António Cardoso, followed by Alex Odriozola and Miguel Adão.
