El Gringo smiled today for the competitors in Round 1 with perfect 8 feet sets.

The trials and the first round went to the water. Highlight to the local  that scored the best wave of the day, a very profound tube that gave him 9.33 points.

Brad Hughes and Chad Jackson showed pretty consistant surfing and advanced to next round.

This Sunday we will have top riders entering the water as Ryan Hardy, Dave Winchester, Airam Cabrera, Mitch Rawlins, Igor Sanches and many others.

The top 16 riders will enter on Monday since only a round per day is being realized.
