Islamorada Invitational: there are plenty of kiteboarders in Florida

The 2010 Islamorada Invitational is set to Whale Harbor Beach, Islamorada, Florida Keys, between the 25th-29th March.

There will be kiteboarding (rails, racing and freestyle) and paddleboarding (fun paddle, short racing, long distance) competitions.

The registration fee is only $50 and includes: a rider's jersey ($30 value), event t-shirt ($15 value), Friday's Pig Roast ($10 value) and full-time event waverunner/boat support when you are wearing your jersey (priceless!).

EVENTS PLANNED:

Kiteboarding - Rails, Racing and Freestyle
Paddleboarding - Fun Paddle, Short Racing, Long Distance
***Paddleboarding is not a "no-wind" alternative. It is full event competition!***

EVENT DIVISIONS:

Pro (paid/sponsored riders)
Master (35+)
Womens and Junior (15 and under)
Events on Thurs and Fri add to overall scores to be combined with weekend events

Frances Osorio Rivera is just another kiteboarder. The only noticeable difference is that she rides the winds of her favorite spots with one only one leg.
