Islamorada Invitational: there are plenty of kiteboarders in Florida

The 2010 Islamorada Invitational is set to Whale Harbor Beach, Islamorada, Florida Keys, between the 25th-29th March.

There will be kiteboarding (rails, racing and freestyle) and paddleboarding (fun paddle, short racing, long distance) competitions.

The registration fee is only $50 and includes: a rider's jersey ($30 value), event t-shirt ($15 value), Friday's Pig Roast ($10 value) and full-time event waverunner/boat support when you are wearing your jersey (priceless!).

EVENTS PLANNED:

Kiteboarding - Rails, Racing and Freestyle
Paddleboarding - Fun Paddle, Short Racing, Long Distance
***Paddleboarding is not a "no-wind" alternative. It is full event competition!***

EVENT DIVISIONS:

Pro (paid/sponsored riders)
Master (35+)
Womens and Junior (15 and under)
Events on Thurs and Fri add to overall scores to be combined with weekend events

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
