WAKSA Charity Downwinder 2010: a great way to support children

Approvals have been granted for the WAKSA Charity Downwinder 2010, again in support of Redkite – supporting children through the cancer journey.

Following last year's format, the downwinder will again commence at Leighton and finish at Brighton. For those not comfortable with that distance, a shorter downwinder will start at south City Beach and finish at Brighton.

It wouldn't be a WAKSA downwinder without the traditional sausage sizzle and softies, and this year prizes will be presented at the conclusion of the event.

We will arrange appropriate transport and on shore back up as with last year’s event, including the traditional sausage sizzle, as well as a prize presentation at the conclusion of the event.

The Everyday Hero fund raising site has been revived for this year’s event. Last year we had 68 kiters and raised $13,500 for Redkite. Can we improve on these numbers again this year?
