Trafalgar: kites will fly and fight

Cape Trafalgar will once again, 200 years later, be the scene of the legendary Battle of Trafalgar. This time, kiteboarders will change History. Red Bull will give the best kiters of France, Spain and United Kingdom the opportunity to defend their country’s honour in a real naval battle.

From October 7th until 12th, Cape Trafalgar, Caños de Meca, Cádiz, Spain, will be the stage of the victory of only one country. This time the "conquista" will be defined by the following two tests.

The Race Open Contest will be a race competition open to all the kiters all around the world willing to participate joining the navy. All of them will be lead by the captain of each country, they will have to cross Trafalgar’s Cape in the least possible time, take a doubloon and go back to the starting point.

The Freestyle Battle Pro Contest is kitesurfing competition by invitation. Each captain will plan the strategy by choosing a member of his own army that competes in a battle of three against the others of the other two countries. Captain will plan the best strategy to win.

Take your board, your kite and rewrite the history together with Red Bull. Join your country’s navy and help to take control over the sea and acquire the glory of victory.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
