Alaska: the capital of snow kiteboarding

The SnowKite Jam Alaska 2013 will be run in Girdwood, Alaska, between the 28th-31st March.

It all started as a dream to have epic snowkite gatherings in the most desirable locations possible. The SnowKite Jam Alaska is a snow kiteboarding freeride event that provides its athletes with the most comfortable experience.

All participants are invited, from the water kiteboarder trying snow out for the first time to the veteran snow pro that wants to enjoy an epic all inclusive guided snowkiting adventure through Alaska.

Alaska lives up to its reputation of being wild, big, remote, and its mountains are no exception. Snowkiting in this landscape will be an adventure.

Based in the heart of Chugach Mountains, with three world-class snowkite locations to explore, the local ski resort offers heli-skiing and snow-cat skiing options for the diehard powder seekers and the ability to see the northern lights.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
