Kite skimming: Dave Scott might have invented a new sport

When kiteboarding was born a couple of decades ago, you'd think it was inspired by windsurfing, sailing, wakeboarding, and surfing. The sport has evolved since the Legaignoux brothers registered the patent in 1985.

Kiteboarding has been trying all possible categories and classes. Freestyle, course racing, slalom, waves, speed, and other variations, for example, with kickers in flat water lakes.

Dave Scott is one of the most prolific skimboarders in the world. The Floridian rider from Vilano Beach enjoys experimentation when he is not pulling impossible barrels.

Scott, a professional skimboarder, has been enjoying the pleasure of kitesurfing and decided to go for a mix of both boardsports.

Skimboards offer a wide range of strapless opportunities, while kites can fly you over wave sections.

Dave Scott introduced kite skimming in a matter of minutes.

The experienced rider has shown us new roads in the future of kiteboarding and skimboarding in a great short skim film.
