Jinne Boer has taken out the Man of the Dam 2017 in Zeeland, in the Netherlands.

Dutch kiteboarders are known for their talent and creativity. And if you put under 18 riders in competition mode, you'll get a fantastic show.

The annual freestyle kiteboarding event had all the necessary ingredients for success: great winds, sunny skies, and a stoked group of athletes, always ready to showcase their skills.

The judges, who regularly participate in major Dutch competitions, evaluate the participants on the originality, difficulty, style, and performance of their jumps and tricks.

In addition to the crowning of the best freestyle riders, the jury also determines who is the best emerging talent: the Man of the Dam. But it can also be the Woman or the Man.

The contest is now a prestigious kite event in the Dutch kitesurfing scene, and quite often, the winners go on to become pro athletes in the world circuit.
