Old Bar kite map: there's room for everyone

The selection of a safe kiteboarding launch area is always a relevant question in every country and coastline.

Kiteboarders should have the right to the sport, and beachgoers must enjoy the pleasures of the sun in safe conditions.

At the "Muddies" kite spot, in New South Wales, Australia, after 18 months of discussions and negotiations, there's finally an agreement to trial a kiteboarder riding area.

The map above explains the rules and, every season, it will be revised depending on the sand bar and entrance locations.

Old Bar (NSW) attracts thousands of kiteboarding tourists, so Parks and Wildlife and The Land and Property Management had to find a reasonable judgment.

The kite map is quite fair, and Club Mud, the local wind organization, is happy to have reached an agreement.
