Mario Rodwald has joined the Gaastra Kiteboarding team.

The three-time European kiteboarding champion will help Gaastra develop their kite division. At 23, Mario has already won eight German titles and is ready to conquer the world.

"This is one of the biggest decisions of my life, maybe the biggest. One of my first professional kite experiences I made in 2003 was with the best kite at that time - the 'Gaastra GXR'," explains Rodwald.

"My main goal right now is to come back stronger after my injury and become the fittest I can be. There is still a fair amount of tricks in my head I haven't landed yet. You all know this feeling and the motivation it brings to life.

Mario Rodwald joins a team of more than 20 riders that includes Alexis Guzman Montan, Marcel Glaser, Niels Ippen, Darian Rubbel, Julian Schildknecht, Raul Ortiz Vazquez, Daniel Endert, Karsten Fransen, and many more.

"A kite brand lives and dies with the team behind it. It took time to recruit the perfect people for the right jobs, but we are now in an amazing position to move the Gaastra kite brand to the next level," adds Urs Hungerbühler, Gaastra kite designer.

"It's unbelievable what's possible when all parts fit together with new and fresh innovative ideas. So I'm very happy to welcome Mario to the team, and we’re all very excited with the direction we are now heading."
