The 2015 Zap Amateur World Championships of Skimboarding crowned thirteen riders at Dewey Beach, Delaware.

It's one of the most important competitions of the skimboarding season. There were contestants from all over the United States and, fortunately, the sun and the waves came along.

The event, organized by Zap Skimboards and Skim USA, kicked off with cold temperatures, onshore winds and shifting skies. Despite the tricky weather conditions, skimboarders performed their best shove-its to impress the judges.

On the final and decisive day of competition, the sun showed up, and the swell allowed for spectacular performances. In the end, thirteen men and women, boys and girls raised their trophies.

The 2015 Amateur World Championships of Skimboarding also debuted a new competition: the Silly Human Team Challenge, which included a pie eating contest, a three-legged race, egg spoon race and an egg toss. Team Zap took home the beautifully, hand painted parrot trophy.
