Matthew McConaughey is a surfing celebrity

Matthew McConaughey began surfing for the movie "Surfer, Dude", in 2008.

He has since then got hooked on the sport and was seen catching waves on many occasions, namely in Malibu, also in 2008.

McConaughey is an American actor, born on the 4th November, 1969, in Uvalde, Texas.

He started his career in the early 90s, with television and film appearances, and became more notorious in 1996 after his work as the lawyer Jack Brigance in the movie "A Time To Kill".

Since 2012 McConaughey has been more focused on independent movies and demanding characters.

His leading role in "Dallas Buyers Club", in 2013, granted him the Academy Award for Best Actor.
