Charlize Theron: she loves riding waves

Actress, producer and model Charlize Theron has gone bodyboarding in Malibu Beach.

Theron was born in Benoni, in South Africa, on the 7th August, 1975.

She started modeling at the age of 16 and has also studied ballet. At 19, she decided to pursue a career in acting.

After beginning with some small parts in films, she rose to fame thanks to her work in "The Devil's Advocate", in 1997, Mighty Joe Young, in 1998, and "The Cider House Rules" (1999).

Theron was widely acclaimed for her role as the serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the movie "Monster", in 1993, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress, among many other prestigious distinctions.

Further nominations for an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards followed, for her performance in "North Country", in 2005, and "Young Adult", in 2011.

Although also keeping her South African citizenship, she is currently a U.S. citizen.
