Evan Geiselman is alive and well.

He survived a near-drowning experience, and he is ready to open a new chapter in his life. At least, physically.

On the dramatic day of his wipeout at Pipeline, he didn't even think of paddling out. But he did. And what seemed a perfect Pipe wave turned into a nightmare.

A closeout bomb exploded, and Geiselman is found unconscious by Andre Botha. Today, our man feels overwhelmed. And all he wants is to enjoy life. It's "A 7 Mile Miracle."

We love you, Evan Geiselman.

On January 17, 2018, Portuguese big wave surfer Hugo Vau had a day he will remember for the rest of his life at Nazaré's Praia do Norte, in Portugal.
