Isle of Sheppey: now, that is a long race

David Clay, 38, has completed the clockwise circumnavigation of the Isle of Sheppey, UK, in a record time.

The windsurfer has set a total time of 2h42m, beating difficult winds and changing tides. He completed the race with a 7.5m sail.

The Isle of Sheppey is located off the northern coast of Kent.

The circumnavigation challenge was also opened to 130-odd dinghies and sailboards and started/finished at Sheerness.
