Sao Miguel do Gostoso: tasty for windsurfing | Photo: Jean Souville

Pro windsurfer Kauli Seadi has opened a new windsurf centre in Sao Miguel do Gostoso, on the Northeast coast of Brazil. There's loads of sun, winds, incredible food and warm locals. Seadi placed his new project in Praia do Cardeiro, one of the best beaches in the region.

"The city has an excellent infrastructure for tourists and residents. The native people are hardworking, friendly people. In Gostoso there’s no violence, it seems like time has stopped! Many Europeans live in Gostoso, some of which are owners of great restaurants and pousadas. You can walk all over town, or take one of the motorcycle-taxis, where you pay very little to go get you and take anywhere", explains Seadi.

The windsurf conditions are amazing. You can go for a free ride, jump and, in the months of December and January, enjoy the nice north swells for unreal long wave rides with side-off wind. The spot has a lot of space and there is room for everybody do his thing safely, from freestyle, freeride and waves to surfing or a nice SUP session.

Sao Miguel do Gostoso is 100km from Natal, the state capital of Rio Grande do Norte. The sunset is simply amazing, just like in paradise. Pick four different beaches: Praia do Santo Cristo, Praia do Cardeiro, Praia da Xepa and Praia do Maceio. Now, go for it.
