Carlos Mario and Mikaili Sol have taken out the 2018 GKA Air Games Cabarete, in the Dominican Republic.

The event had perfect wind conditions. In the finals day, Carlos combined his new school freestyle expertise with classic moves, including creative wake-style tricks, and board-off triple front rolls.

"I had a good result here, and I worked very hard for it. I want to congratulate all athletes - the level is very high - and Jesse, an incredible rider to compete against," said Mario.

On the women's side, there's a young gun taking over the world. Her name is Mikaili Sol, and she is beating girls that are twice her age.

Sol might only be 13 years of age, but she claimed a second consecutive win at a world tour level. With a smooth and confident approach, she represents the future of kiteboarding.

"I'm super happy and super stoked to be first in the world again at this event, and congrats to Hannah everyone. My final here was pretty tough. In the beginning, I couldn't do anything. I was crashing and crashing, but then I just turned on, and I did it," added Sol.
