True Surf: a realist mobile surfing game

The World Surf League (WSL) has announced the launch of its mobile surfing game. True Surf is available for download now.

One of the interesting innovations about True Surf is that, not only it features 21 world-class surf breaks, but the ocean conditions also change according to real-time surf forecasts.

The new surfing game imports swell height and direction, wind speed and direction, tide times, and water temperatures from Surfline, and adds it to the gaming experience.

Get ready to surf Pipeline, Teahupoo, Jeffreys Bays, Bells Beach, Cloudbreak, Nazare, Trestles, Margaret River, Huntington Beach, Skeleton Bay, Puerto Escondido, Jaws, Snapper Rocks, and many other surf breaks.

Compete against other players from around the world, and fight for the Championship Tour title. From a player's perspective, the game has a cool flow and will definitely keep you entertained for hundreds of hours.

Gamers can collect shakas and clams to evolve their favorite characters, unlock storms and travel destinations, build a pro surfing career, and buy power-up extras.

Build Your Quiver To Win Heats

You can even create your own quiver from a long list of shortboards, funboards, longboards, guns and fish boards available.

Stall for the barrel and enjoy the unpredictable and dynamic wave conditions. All you need to do is use one or two fingers to win heats and perform sick tricks and maneuvers.

The game reminds us of YouRiding, the world's first online surfing game. WSL says it's the most realistic and authentic mobile surfing game ever created, but it's up to the anonymous surfer to decide.

According to the Australian developers, True Axis, the mobile surfing game uses a simulation engine that mimics real waves and the surfers' movements while riding the waves.

True Surf has been launched for iOS smartphones, but will also be available for Android users.
