Eunate Aguirre: pretty and competitive

Eunate Aguirre has officially withdrawn from professional bodyboarding.

The 2011 IBA World Tour Women's world champion has decided to put an end to her professional bodyboarding career at only 30.

"I would like to thank everyone who supported me during this long journey of competition, especially my family. Every defeat, every victory, would not have been the same without you. Thank you very much from the heart", Aguirre wrote on her Facebook page.

"I start a new stage of illusion, leaving competition aside, with new waves to be discovered and enjoyed. Soul surfing, here we go!".

Eunate Aguirre was born in Bilbao, on the 24th May, 1982. Sopelana has been her training ground for years.

The Basque Country bodyboarder won one IBA World Tour title, she got runner-up twice (2009 and 2010), conquered the European trophies in 2007, 2008 and 2009. uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website. Learn more on our About section.
