Pierre-Louis Costes and Jessica Becker have conquered the Sintra Portugal Pro 2015, at Praia Grande.

The French bodyboarder who lives in Portugal defeated the South African talent Iain Campbell in the decisive heat, held in a wind-affected, bumpy two-to-three-foot line-up.

Costes only needed four waves to claim the title. The former world champion sealed the deal with his first couple of riders, earning himself a total of 15.50 points. Campbell caught eight waves, but he never got a high backup score.

"I'm so happy. Really! I didn't have luck in the last event, so to finally win one it feels amazing. This win is helping a lot to be in the race. But I still am not first. I still have to hunt to get the lead, so it's a battle. Nazaré is going to be a big show," expressed Costes.

In the Women's competition, Becker narrowly edged out the Japanese sensation Sari Ohhara with a total heat score of 14.85 points.

"I am very happy with this victory. It is quite exciting to win a World Tour stage. I've had a few finals here in Sintra, but this is the first time I get this result. Now, I just want to celebrate," revealed Becker.

The 20th anniversary of the Sintra Portugal Pro also crowned Dave Hubbard in the Drop-Knee division and David Barbosa in the Pro Junior contest. The 2015 APB World Tour will now travel to Nazaré for the ultimate showdown.
