Miles Kauhaahaa: air dropping Jaws | Photo: Dooma Photos

Two years ago, Miles Kauhaahaa wrote his name in the history books for becoming the first bodyboarder to ride Jaws in Drop-Knee mode. Now, he's done something else.

Miles Kauhaahaa is not a star of the world bodyboarding scene. He is not a well-known character in the social media planet, too. But that doesn't mean he is not one of the most talented riders on the Hawaiian Islands.

We rarely watch him in video clips, films, and photographs. When he suddenly appears, Miles goes big. When we thought Magno Passos had already caught the wave of the winter season, Kauhaahaa answers back with an incredible air drop at Jaws/Peahi.

The ride is short but pretty intense. Miles Kauhaahaa handles the air drop with cold blood, drives off the bottom, and kicks out unharmed. It seemed like it was just another day at the office.

Apparently, big wave bodyboarding is the next big thing. Riders are inviting bodyboard shapers to come up with new designs, in order to adapt to the new reality.
