Jason Polakow: training his signature aerials

Jason Polakow and Robby Swift have displayed a powerful wavesailing performance at Lanes, Maui. What you're about to watch is big wave windsurfing.

Surfers may be proud of their aerial skills, but Jason Polakow is not impressed. The Australian daredevil continues proving that windsurfing is a spectacular water sport. Just add wind and big waves.

This time, Polakow and Robby Swift hit Lanes, as Kona Winds bring it to life. The fantastic port tack wavesailing session delivered incredible footage, JP-style.

"It's always good to test sails in really good conditions. That's exactly what we had here. Offshore winds and large waves. It was just perfect," says Polakow.

"The night before I knew I would be a good day, so I got up super early. Got down here and it was already windy. There was no one out, so I started texting Robby first thing in the morning. 'Let's go!'"

With the helicopter called for two hours, it was time to put out a massive show of aerials, monster bailouts, and wave sailing control.

Lanes is a big wave port-tack break located near Hookipa Beach Park, in Maui.
