The quest for the triple loop is on

It looks unreal, and it can be dangerous, too. Windsurfing's triple loop is not yet a reality, but Ricardo Campello is leading the way.

Looping requires a lot of practice, but when you're going for a triple attempt, the chances will hurt yourself increase dramatically.

Wave sailing specialists know that timing, speed, a good ramp, and a powered sail are needed to land a double loop. And everything happens quickly.

Bruno Martini sets a new record at the 2018 One Hour Classic

Martini, the bearer of Circolo Surf Torbole, was able to sail 19 laps in one hour and 31 seconds, with an average speed of over 50 km/h.

It was an epic day on Lake Garda. The spot was blessed with a 25-knot south wind with peaks of up to 30-35 knots. For many, it was the most beautiful One Hour Classic ever.

Bruno Martini, the athlete from Circolo Surf Torbole, broke the record. It was a perfect end to the RRD One Hour Classic, one of the most famous and historical regattas in Torbole, held on the windsurfing mecca of Lake Garda, in Italy.

João Rodrigues, 46, crowned 2018 Raceboard world champion

João Rodrigues and Aleksandra Blinnikka have been crowned 2018 Raceboard world champions in Blanes, Spain.

The popular windsurfing class gathered a total 73 sailors from 13 countries in the warm waters of Catalonia. The event was hosted by Club Vela Blanes.

The windsurfer from the Portuguese island of Madeira clinched the world title after winning six of the 10 regatta races.
