Surf Skooter: what are you going to do with it? | Photo: Surf Skooter

A bodyboard for kneeboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and, of course, for bodyboarding. Can you imagine that? Well, if it gets real, it will be Surf Skooter.

Michael Hoskins, the inventor of Surf Skooter, dreams of creating an entirely new market segment for this bodyboard with retractable handle bars. He says it's all about "improving upon Morey's original concept and extending the thrill of the ocean to millions more."

Anyone can ride the Surf Skooter. Young, old, and by people with prosthetics and other disabilities, too. The new product features an optional towing accessory that allows everyone to ride behind a boat.

If you're a winter sports enthusiast, why not taking the Surf Skooter to the snowy mountains of the world? Yes, it can be used as a snow sled.

The developer confirms that the new board is able to maintain its two locked positions - open and closed - while withstanding sand, UV rays, corrosive salt water and intensive heat.

After six years in the making, Hoskins is hoping to raise $75,000 or more to help cover the expense of production. Ready to lay on the Surf Skooter? The Kickstarter campaign goes live on the 7th July, 2015.
