Eder Luciano has been crowned the 2012 ISA World Bodyboard champion, in Playa Parguito, Venezuela.
Team Brazil has secured the overall victory at the 2012 ISA World Bodyboard Championships, after placing two riders in the final of the Open division.
Sergio Alonzo, from Venezuela, took the silver medal and even began aggressively attacking each wave taken. He dominated most of the heat, but in bodyboarding nothing is for granted.
Eder took a left wave, a few minutes before the end, he got of a deep tube connecting with a roller and 8 points to take the leading spot. The bronze medal was played between Brazil and France.
In the Women's open category, Sari Ohhara, from Japan, again showed the world that is one of the best riders and the only one that can beat Isabela de Souza.
The Brazilian tried to respond to Japan's heavy attack, but she couldn't find the way to retake the lead in the heat, costing her the ISA World Bodyboard title.
The Venezuelan Yuleiner Gonzalez won the bronze medal, in a hard fight against the South African Bowren Pamela.
The Drop-Knee category had an exciting final. Peruvian Cesar Bauer quickly began his attack on the right waves, along with the French Martin Mourabian.
Three left-handers were ridden by the South African Iain Campbell, who didn't miss any of them and took gold to the African continent.
