Chevrolet and Hurley have teamed up to develop an SUV for surfers.

The new Colorado Z71 Hurley Concept features a custom surfboard roof rack, water-resistant seat covers made with a material similar to neoprene, and several storage compartments for surf gear.

If you're an avid surf explorer, you might love the 17-inch wheels equipped with all-terrain tires. The truck also includes a wetsuit drying rack and a WiFi hotspot.

"This concept is all about functionality. When we discussed the project with Chevrolet, we didn't want just a truck with our logo on it," explains Ryan Hurley, creative director for Hurley.

"It had to offer solutions for the challenges surfers face at remote locations, and that's exactly what it delivers. And you'll never worry about hopping in your vehicle with wet clothing."

The Colorado Z71 Hurley will immediately impress with its khaki green and sand dune colors, and any resemblance with a military vehicle is pure coincidence.

If you're worried about performance in the harshest environment, you must know that the new surf van has a 3.6L V-6 engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and 308 horsepower.
