Much Better Now: a short surf movie about bookmark surfing

Short surf films are getting better. Forget brands, impossible tricks and super surfers. You know when you're watching a great surf movie by the soul and spirit of the collection of frames.

"Much Better Now", a short surf film directed by Philipp Comarella and Simon Griesser, which tells the beautiful story of a bookmark stuck in a forgotten book that is one day knocked over by wind.

It experiences its environment by surfing the pages that turn in to ocean-waves, enjoying the ride of its life. As the book cover closes light reveals new challenges. "Much Better Now" has been highlighted in several independent film festival and is really worth its 5 minutes and 56 seconds.

The movie produced by Salon Alpin and animated by Christoph Staber is mix of real scenario, computer graphics and stop motion. The quality of the overall result is really impressive and you only want it to last forever.

As you can see below, the entire process of shooting "Much Better Now" is really slow and detailed. Every single film frame is worked as a masterpiece also thanks to gaffer Thomas Welz and the soundtrack by Silvio Canazei.
